Trends in development of eID and trust services

Read the presentation by Michal Tabor, Partner and Member of the Board of Obserwatorium.biz. The topic was the latest trends in the development of eID and trust services, which play a key role in the dynamically developing digital economic and social space. The presentation was held at the 9th Common Sign conference, which took place in Warsaw on 29 October 2018.

 

During his presentation, Michał Tabor focused on several important issues that are currently at the center of the development of digital identities and trust services:

  • Remote identity proofing – advanced technologies and methods for verifying a user’s identity without physical presence – crucial for security and convenience in the digital environment.
  • The introduction of mobile and remote signatures – new ways to authorize transactions and documents using mobile signatures, significantly simplifying and enhancing the security of business and administrative processes.
  • The role that electronic signatures can play – explaining how to secure documents and data and ensuring their integrity and authenticity, which is particularly important for companies and institutions operating in the digital environment.
  • The growing importance of validation services—Electronic signature and document validation services are becoming increasingly important in the context of international legal requirements and security standards.
  • Implementing and commercializing eDelivery – Modern eDelivery solutions can transform the way we communicate and transact, benefiting both the public and private sectors.

 

Michal Tabor emphasized that implementing modern technologies and solutions for eID and trust services is not only a response to the growing needs of the digital market but also an element of building trust in the online space. He cited numerous examples from the country and the world, illustrating how these technologies are being adapted and implemented.

The author of the presentation highlighted the future of eID and trust services, pointing out the potential challenges and opportunities that may arise from this industry’s further development. Monitoring market and technology developments is essential to maintaining a high level of security and innovation in the digital services sector.
